The Lincolnton Tourism Development Authority (LTDA) promotes tourism and visitor services & experiences within the City of Lincolnton.
LTDA funds are hotel/motel occupancy taxes paid by visitors, in addition to state & local sales tax. The funds are intended to provide financial support for tourism related expenditures including destination promotion, festival/event production, visitor attractions and similar projects. The city collects a 3% occupancy tax from hotel/motel/lodging rental rates inside the city limits of Lincolnton.
The primary duty of LTDA board members is to consider, evaluate and approve allocations of these funds and award funding requests that benefit tourism related activities and projects that meet the needs of the City and its business, development and community goals.

The LTDA meets quarterly, generally in the first week of the last month of each calendar quarter. Meetings are held at 4pm in council chambers at city hall and are open to the public. Please call city hall at 704-736-8980 to confirm meeting dates/times/locations.
