    May 21, 2021, 5:00 PM - 10:00 PM @ Downtown Lincolnton - shops, sidewalks & Courthouse Lawn

    An evening of art, both visual and performing, hosted by businesses in historic Downtown Lincolnton as well as on the lawn of the Courthouse. It is a night of community, as we gather to support our artists and small businesses while at the same time enjoying some food from a local restaurant or food truck and meeting our friends, family, and neighbors to share in the fun. This event is organized by the Arts Council of Lincoln County, the Downtown Development Association, and the Lincoln Cultural Center.   2. Chalk the Walk 2021

    2021 Lincolnton Chalk Walk Sponsored by: The Arts Council of Lincoln County $5 entry fee per artist or group A fun, creative day of chalk art for everyone to enjoy! Family-friendly art event. See the full Rules and Regulations for Artists at the event website LINK. • Each artist or team will have a space assigned to them. • Check-in begins at 9AM on Saturday, May 22, 2021. All artists must check in with their registration by 10AM to participate in the contest. There are two categories: Adult and Youth • To be considered for judging, artists must complete their work by 5PM. • Youth artists must have a parent or guardian approval to participate • All chalk used MUST be water-based (NO OIL PASTELS). • Chalk is the ONLY medium that may be used. • No fixatives allowed on the drawings. • Chalk can only be used in designated areas by artists. No streets or parking spaces. • Artist and participants will not obstruct business entrances or traffic walks.
