The Heafner Williams Vocal Competition, one of only three such competitions in the southeast, will be held at the Cultural Center on March 25 (semi-finals) and March 26 (finals).

The Heafner/Williams Vocal Competition highlights emerging theatrical vocal talent to encourage the theatrical vocal arts. Carolyn Heafner & Bob Williams are internationally accomplished opera singers and Lincolnton residents, who give back to their hometown and the arts by hosting this annual vocal competition for singers ages 18-35 who are residents of or enrolled in a school in NC, SC, or VA. With prize packages up to $2,500, this is an opportunity for singers to compete and refine their craft. Each vocalist will feature 3 of 5 repertoire categories: Musical Theater, Opera, Operetta, Oratorio, & Classical Song.
