North Carolina Child Safety Law
North Carolina law requires all passengers in a vehicle to buckle up. Children are required to use a car seat or booster seat until they are at least 8 years old or 80 pounds (whichever comes first) and the vehicle seat belt fits properly on its own. Keep children under age 13 in a rear seat of the vehicle and choose the best protection for a child based on his or her age, height and weight by following these steps:
